Start With a Simple Marketing Your Creative Business Plan (Not a Complicated Strategy)

You don’t need a 12-step funnel or a color-coded spreadsheet to run your social media. Here is what you need to know:

  • What you’re posting
  • Why you’re posting it
  • How it connects to your business

That’s it. If your content doesn’t lead somewhere… It’s just noise.

A simple weekly plan could look like:

  • 1 post that shares your product
  • 1 post that teaches something helpful
  • 1 post that connects (story, behind the scenes, real life)

That balance is what builds trust and sales.

Stop Posting Randomly (This Is Where Most People Get Stuck)

This is the big one. Random social media posting feels productive… but it doesn’t grow your business. If you’re:

  • Posting only when you “feel like it”
  • Sharing whatever you made that day
  • Jumping on trends with no purpose

You’re working… but not moving forward. Instead, ask yourself: “What is this post helping my audience do?” If it doesn’t:

  • solve a problem
  • inspire a project
  • or lead to your product

It’s probably not helping your business grow.

Use 3 Types of Content That Actually Work

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel every day. Let me share a few ideas to get your thinking like a true social media manager. Stick with these 3 for every post and talk to your favorite customer when you write the copy:

1. Helpful Content

Teach something simple and useful. Examples:

  • How to use a material (like puff vinyl 😉)
  • Quick craft tips
  • “Don’t make this mistake” posts

This builds trust fast. And trust will build your following…. and a bigger following means more eyes on what you sell.

2. Connection Content

Let them see you. Examples:

  • Why you started your business
  • Behind the scenes
  • Real life moments

People don’t buy from perfect brands… They buy from real people.

3. Product Content

Yes… you can sell. Examples:

  • Show your product in use
  • Share customer results
  • Walk through how it works

If you never talk about your product… people won’t buy it. Simple as that.

Consistency Beats Perfection (Every Time)

You do NOT need to post every day. You do need to: 1. show up regularly 2. stay on message 3. keep it simple.

Three intentional posts a week will outperform seven random ones every time. If you need ideas or help that’s where the Simpilify & Scale Course come in and if you need even more help, our Creative Business Group will guide you each month!

Make It Easier on Yourself (Because This Matters

Marketing shouldn’t take over your life. If it does… you won’t stick with it.

Batch your content.
Reuse your ideas.
Keep your plan visible.

And most importantly… Stop trying to do it like everyone else. Your business works when your marketing works for you.
