For me, I have taken over our formal dining room. I admit we probably could have used it a few times but with 5 adults we can’t all fit in here at once now. I’ve found things at garage sales and thrift stores to make it work for me. Here are a few tips I’ve learned along the way as a professional crafter.

Craft Paper Storage Ideas
Paper crafting often means collecting a lot of paper, from paper pads to full sheets and small scraps. Some might call this hoarding but I think they are just jealous that I so much more paper. LOL.
For me, when storing or organizing my craft paper, I use these 3 ideas.
- I use the set of 3 plastic drawers and sort this by color. I can see what I have, know where it’s at and grab it quickly.
- For my paper kits and holiday paper, I store in 13×13-inch ziplock bags. I can see what’s in there. it’s easy to grab and find what I need.
- Now the scrap pile. I do keep most of mine that can see using on a card or something. I sort them by color in bags. I organized them in file folders and added color tabs to help me grab it easier. This also keeps me from cutting up a big 12×12 sheet for something small.
Organizing Blog Posts
Without a good paper organizer, these supplies can quickly become a messy or damaged. Here are some of the best ways to store your paper stash.

- Small Plastic 13×13 Drawers: I use a lot of these to store my scrapbook paper. They lay flat and I sort them by color or holiday (I have big stash of Christmas paper)
- Magazine Holders: These are a great idea for storing smaller paper pads or even scrapbook paper scraps. They fit nicely on shelves, making it simple to flip through and find what you need.
- Paper Storage Towers: If you have ample space, a dedicated paper storage tower can keep everything visible and sorted. These work well for crafters with a lot of paper who need an organized system for quick selection.
- Storage Boxes: Storing seasonal or specialty paper in labeled storage boxes is an effective way to keep rarely used supplies out of the way while still accessible when needed.
- Door Shoe Organizer: A creative way to store paper is by using a clear door shoe organizer. The pockets are perfect for holding small pieces of paper or paper pads, keeping them in sight without taking up much space.
The best part of having a well-organized paper stash is knowing exactly where everything is. No more digging through messy stacks or losing that perfect piece of paper you saved for a project.

Vinyl Storage Solutions
For my vinyl (adhesive) or the HTV (heat pressure vinyl) organize like my paper. I keep the scraps in 13×13-inch ziplock bags; organized by color.
I have some supplies in this old bedroom TV cabinet. I tipped the top shelf (VCR shelf) at an angle and keep rolls of adhesive vinyl here.
For my HTV Heat Transfer vinyl, I bought a rolling cart. I love being able to see the colors as I work on projects.
Craft vinyl can be tricky to organize, especially if you have a mix of rolls of vinyl, vinyl scraps, and full sheets. Finding the best way to store your vinyl storage without it getting wrinkled or damaged is key.
Here are few ways to organized and story your craft vinyl:
- Vinyl Rolls Storage: Many crafters prefer to store their vinyl rolls in a plastic bin or a drawer cart for quick access. Some even use wall-mounted racks to keep rolls visible and easy to grab.
- Paper Towel Holder: A great idea for keeping rolls of vinyl in order is to use a wall-mounted paper towel holder. This prevents rolls from unrolling and keeps them neat.
- Drawer Cart: For those with limited space, a drawer cart can be a great solution for storing both vinyl scraps and full sheets. Each drawer can be labeled by color or type of craft vinyl for easy sorting.
- Storage Boxes: Similar to paper storage, vinyl can be sorted into clear storage boxes with labels. This method works well if you have a long time collection of craft vinyl and need to separate permanent, heat transfer, and removable vinyl.
