- Cricut Design Space (free account)
- Chalk or chalk markers (optional, for erasable labels)
- Canisters, jars, bins, or whatever needs labeling
How to Make Custom Labels with Cricut Design Space
This is truly one of the easiest beginner projects — which also makes it a perfect “win” if you’re new to your Cricut or cutting machine! Here’s how to make your own DIY labels:
- Download the Free SVG Label Template (you’ll find it in the library here on We Can Make That!)
- Upload the file to Cricut Design Space.
- Size the label SVG to fit your jar, bin, or container.
- Choose a font you love (lots of fun Fonts on Creative Fabrica) and type out your label text.
- Change the font to writing so you can use a pen.
- Position the text over the label shape where you want it.
- Select both the label and the text, then click Attach.
- Cut, weed, and apply your new labels. BAM — instant organization.
Pro Tip: Always double-check the size before you cut! A label that’s too big for your container is the craft room version of skinny jeans after Thanksgiving.
