Have you ever stared at your kitchen canisters or craft room bins and thought, “I should really label that… someday.” Well, today’s the day, friend! I’m sharing some Free SVG Labels that make it crazy easy to organize your life (and maybe even make your craft fair booth look a little fancier too).

Where to Use These Free SVG Labels

Your imagination is about to go into overdrive, so brace yourself. Here are just a few places you can use these free SVG label templates:

  • Kitchen canisters (because “mystery flour” is not a vibe)
  • Bathroom jars for cotton balls, Q-tips, and bath salts
  • Craft room organization (because losing your scissors twice a day is getting old)
  • School supplies or homework stations
  • Garage bins and tools
  • Small business packaging — cute labels = professional vibes at your booth!

Tip: You can either add text with your favorite Cricut font or leave the labels blank and use chalk markers or a permanent pen for a hand-lettered look. Fancy AND flexible.

Supplies You’ll Need for Custom DIY Labels

Here’s your simple supply list and I’m guessing most of them you already have:

  • Vinyl of your choice (I recommend Siser EasyWeed, for hand-washed items)
  • Cutting machine (Cricutt Joy, Romeo, Juliet — they all work)
  • Cutting mat (standard grip green mat)
  • Weeding tool (your bestie for tiny letters)
  • Cricut Design Space (free account)
  • Chalk or chalk markers (optional, for erasable labels)
  • Canisters, jars, bins, or whatever needs labeling

How to Make Custom Labels with Cricut Design Space

This is truly one of the easiest beginner projects — which also makes it a perfect “win” if you’re new to your Cricut or cutting machine! Here’s how to make your own DIY labels:

  1. Download the Free SVG Label Template (you’ll find it in the library here on We Can Make That!)
  2. Upload the file to Cricut Design Space.
  3. Size the label SVG to fit your jar, bin, or container.
  4. Choose a font you love (lots of fun Fonts on Creative Fabrica) and type out your label text.
  5. Change the font to writing so you can use a pen.
  6. Position the text over the label shape where you want it.
  7. Select both the label and the text, then click Attach.
  8. Cut, weed, and apply your new labels. BAM — instant organization.

Pro Tip: Always double-check the size before you cut! A label that’s too big for your container is the craft room version of skinny jeans after Thanksgiving.
