Free Winter SVGs for Cricut
This free cut file will make a cozy addition to your winter wardrobe, whether you’re personalizing sweatshirts, coffee mugs, or t-shirts with heat transfer vinyl. Plus, it’s versatile enough for Christmas ornaments, wood signs, or even cold-weather-themed tote bags. The possibilities are endless!

Step 2: Upload the SVG to Cricut Design Space
- Open Cricut Design Space® and upload the SVG design.
- Resize the graphic type to fit your sweatshirt. Most designs look great at around 10-12 inches wide for adult sizes.
- Adjust the cut file to suit your needs. For silhouette users, this process is similar in Silhouette Studio®.

Step 3: Cut the Design with HTV Vinyl
- Grab your supplies: Cricut (or cutting machine), vinyl, pressing pillows, heat press or iron
- Place your HTV (heat transfer vinyl) shiny side down [transfer sheet] on your cutting mat.
- Select the correct cutting setting for the type of HTV vinyl you picked.
- Load the mat into the Cricut and press “Go” for a perfect cut file.
Step 4: Weed the Design
- Remove the excess vinyl around your design using a weeding tool.
- Pay extra attention to small details like snowflakes or intricate text.
- Trouble seeing your design? Try weeding on a light box. The light shines through and helps you see the edges.

Step 5: Apply to Your Sweatshirt
- Preheat (pre-press) your sweatshirt to remove moisture. (5-8 seconds is often good)
- Place the vinyl design on the sweatshirt with the transfer sheet on top.
- Ensure alignment of your design is good (use these guides if you struggle with this).
- Use a heat press or iron at the recommended temperature. This varies depending on the vinyl type (glitter, puff, etc) for the best results.
- Peel off the carrier sheet either hot, warm, or cool (according to the type of vinyl types used), and your project is done!
