How the ShotBox Helps My Craft Business Stand Out in a Saturated Market

If you are a creative business owner you are probably looking for ways to stand out in a saturated market. You often feel EVERY.ONE. makes the same things you do (being an SVG designer, I totally feel your pain!). This SHOTBOX from We R Memory Keepers can help you do that. Let me explain how this tool can help you with branding, and then we’ll look at how the SHOTBOX fits into your life as a small business owner.

If you have been following me and We Can Make That for a bit, you probably know I’ve been in the marketing world for my day job since 1997. After a divorce lead me to being a single parent, the online space allowed me to lean into finding craft business owners and helping them grow with marketing.

One of the most common statements I hear is, “How do I stand out in a saturated market.” First, let’s change how we think of the term saturated market. It can be defeating to see a bazillion other creatives doing or selling what you sell or create. What if you changed your mindset to… they are all doing {whatever it is that you do] because it works. There’s a demand for what you sell, not the feeling you live in a saturated market.

So, how do YOU stand out as a creative business owner in a saturated market?

If you are feeling this way, the SHOTBOX might be what you need. I bought one and loved it so much that I bought another one to giveaway as a doorprize for our Craft Business Summit.

Now I’ll walk through the pros and cons and it can help you too.

Not a professional photographer? No worries. This tool will help you look like one!

Reasons I like my SHOTBOX from We R Memory Keepers

  1. Saves me time. I can shoot lots of professional pictures in no time at all.
  2. Makes me look professional. The lighting and staging of photos is so much faster now too!
  3. Storing is easy! It folds down and tucks away with ease. And it comes with a little tote for storage.
  4. Has lighting built-in! I love how it has a built-in light too. It’s really a full package.
  5. My cat likes it too. LOL

Well, that’s all I could think of the con list. So all-in-all I think this is a great way to help build your brand. The key to standing out in that saturated market can be a simple fix.

Things I didn’t like about the SHOTBOX by We R Memory Keepers

  1. The sides are a little less supportive, but in reality, it works well. It just makes me want to keep adjusting it.
  2. You have to buy the additional backgrounds for it, I was hoping they came with it (But i guess that’s what the coupons are for at Michaels. LOL!

Looking Professional to Stand Out in Your Industry

Often your competition isn’t spending as much time on her photos and making them as professional looking as your shots with the SHOTBOX can look. So getting into the routine of scheduling when you will do photography is a great way to stand out in a saturated market. It’s a skill anyone can learn, don’t let it intimidate you!

SHOTBox Carrying Case

Think of it this way, your the shopper, and you find 2 sites selling what you want. The first one has bad lighting, cluttered backgrounds, and the details of the product don’t really show,

But the second site has photos with great lighting, professional angles, and the details are crisp and clear. This is usually the camera fault, our phones are all pretty close in quality of pics, it’s the photography skill and lighting. This SHOTBOX will help.

I’ve considered this, for all the reasons you mentioned. However, you can’t really take photos of clothes in it. Right? It seems too small for that.
