When you upload your files you’ll want to pick the SVG for Cricut and the DXF for Silhouette machines.

1. Measure your card or item, then adjust the envelope size in your design software.
2. In the Layers Panel, you’ll also see where to adjust the score lines (or fold lines). If you don’t have a scoring tool, simply hide these lines and fold by hand.
3. Be sure to attache the fold lines and SVG before sending to mat.

For an extra touch, create a cute envelope liner! Cut patterned paper slightly smaller than the main piece, and adhere it to the inside flap with double-sided tape. This adds a pop of color, especially when hand-delivering your cards.

If you’re using Cricut Design Space, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the envelope files:
- Download the ZIP file: Click the download link, and unzip the folder on your computer.
- Upload to Cricut Design Space: Once unzipped, upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space.
- Resize to fit your project: Whether you’re making a mini envelope for a gift card or a larger one for a greeting card, simply adjust the size in Design Space by dragging the corners of the envelope piece. Don’t worry, the cut lines will adjust accordingly.
- Set your score lines: In the Layers Panel, make sure to change the fold lines to “score” lines. If you don’t have a scoring stylus, you can manually fold after cutting.
- Cut and fold: Choose your material (I recommend a fun cardstock!), then click “Make It.” After it cuts, use your scoring wheel or stylus to fold along the score layer.
- Assemble: Use a double-sided tape runner to seal the edges. And voilà—your custom envelope is ready!
Tip: Personalize the front of your envelope with Cricut pens! You can write a name or message to make it extra special.
