About the Host
HELLO! I’m Chelly Ontis, founder of We Can Make That® – With almost 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and marketing expert, I’ve helped businesses grow their brands through strategic events and online marketing. I’ve hosted multiple successful summits that have helped thousands of small business owners scale their side hustles into profitable ventures.
Summit’s Mission & Goals
The Side Hustle Marketing Summit is designed to help business owners gain clarity, increase visibility, and create a profitable marketing strategy. My goal is to provide actionable, easy-to-implement marketing strategies that will help attendees grow their businesses while making the most of their time.
For speakers, this is an opportunity to rapidly expand your audience, grow your email list, and increase revenue through affiliate sales. With a goal of reaching 20,000 attendees, this summit will expose your brand to a new, engaged audience eager to learn and invest in their business growth.

Speaker Responsibilities
As a speaker, you’ll submit a pre-recorded workshop and engage with attendees in our Facebook Group on the day your session goes live. This summit thrives on collaboration, helping you grow your email list, audience, and brand visibility through a high-impact event.
Speaker Responsibilities ✔ Checklist:
- Submit Your Workshop Video (20-25 minutes with a brief pitch at the end)
- Engage in the Attendee Facebook Group on your session day
- Videos should be recorded in a WIDE format only.
- Promote the Event (at least 2 emails + 2 social media posts) with your affiliate link to earn commissions on VIP ticket sales
- Optional: Add a Giveaway or VIP Bonus to increase visibility, email subscribers, and your earnings
- Optional: Sign-up to come on a Live with us during the event to really connect with attendees.

How to prepare your video:
Please structure your content so attendees can feel like they’ve learned something. Videos should not be in a salesy-format where they feel like they’re missing something and need to buy from you to get value from your topic.
- Format should be WIDE format.
- Include an intro but make SHORT, long welcome intros deduce watch time. Tell your story in your session if it’s long.
- Use slides or don’t — what ever is best for YOUR session.
Why are all speakers asked to promote the event during the promotional period?
This collective effort ensures fairness and maximizes success for everyone involved. When we all share, we create more momentum, expand our reach, and bring in a larger audience—benefiting every speaker with more visibility, email signups, and potential customers.

With your workshop, we encourage you to provide a freebie that attendees can access from your website to continue engaging with you after the summit. This will be featured on the Digital Swag Bag, a special bonus page showcasing all speaker freebies in one place (Think Meet the Speaker page but with freebies to attract visits).
Your freebie will be displayed alongside your head shot, bio, and social media links to help attendees connect with you.
What to Submit:
- A freebie for attendees – a free opt-in you already have will work great.
- e.g., PDF, template, checklist, email series, workshop replays, free month in a membership, mini-course, or digital asset, etc.
- A URL where attendees can access your freebie (this can be a website page, checkout page, or email opt-in).
- Title (I’ll create a graphic as shown on the sample page).
How The Digital Swag Bag Works:
- Your freebie will be listed on our Digital Swag Bag webpage (accessible to both free and VIP attendees).
- Attendees will be directed to your free Digital Swag Bag link, where they can access your freebie and join your list.
Tips:
On your free Digital Swag Bag link/page, you are welcome to include other item. Display your Digital Swag Bag item FIRST.

- Ask for a YouTube subscribe or a follow on a social media channel

VIP Tickets + Speaker Details
After attendees register for free with an email, they are instantly offered the option to upgrade to a VIP Ticket. This includes instant and lifetime access to all workshops, plus lots of exclusive bonuses. As a speaker, you can earn commissions on these sales:
- $47 VIP Ticket – 20-minute fast-action offer
- $67 VIP Ticket – Early bird price (July 10-30)
- $127 VIP Ticket – Full price (after July 30)
Adding a VIP Bonus:
Adding a VIP Bonus is another smart way to increase both engagement and earnings. Speakers who contribute a valuable resource ($25+ value) to the VIP Ticket package will receive a higher affiliate commission (50%) on VIP sales. Since the VIP upgrade provides attendees with lifetime access to the replays and exclusive content – it’s a high-converting offer that ensures more sign-ups and additional revenue for you.
Attendees can claim the VIP offers July 8 through September 30, 2025 (keep your coupon active!) Workshop replays have lifetime access.
- You host your VIP (so you can collect emails and re-target = this event is to help you list build).
- Coupon code will be shared when you upload this information.
- You’ll provide a square graphic, title, URL, description and price.
- Often they are hosted in your shop, or you can create an opt-in form and deliver via email.
Some examples of past VIP items:
It’s your choice if you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have that is sold for $25 or higher. The VIP tickets generally convert so well that you don’t want to contribute a 1:1 service/offer.

Marketing Details + Links
Marketing & Promotion
To maximize reach, speakers are expected to share at least twice during the marketing period using provided swipe files, graphics, and an affiliate link. The success of this event relies on everyone participating in the promotion.
When all speakers share, it creates a fair and powerful marketing strategy that benefits every participant. If some choose not to share, it limits the event’s reach and can leave those who actively promote feeling like they’re carrying the weight for others.
Your VIP Commission Breakdown:
- 40% commission on VIP ticket sales
- 50% commission if you contribute a VIP bonus ($25+ value)
- + Additional commission on the bump offer (TBD)
By working together, we ensure that everyone gains new followers, email subscribers, and potential customers. This collective effort is what makes summits like this one so valuable for growing your audience and increasing engagement while earning income through affiliate commissions.
Before all 20+ speakers begin sharing, Chelly will be testing the registration page to a small exclusive audience a few days prior.

Giveaway Details + Ideas
Giveaways are an AMAZING way to find extra email address. Some get a few hundred, and some get thousands.
Why Host a Giveaway?
Speakers have the opportunity to host a giveaway, which is a fantastic way to collect emails and build engagement. You control and manage your giveaway, allowing you to grow your email list with highly targeted leads who are interested in your business.
- Make your Giveaway active: July 8 through July 30 at midnight.
- How to announce your winner: After the giveaways are over, add your winners name to this post in the Facebook group. We’ll update the listing on the giveaway webpage.
Whether you use an opt-in form or a contest platform, giveaways encourage new sign-ups and brand interaction, making them a powerful tool to expand your reach. Be sure to collect a name AND email to contact them.
- Manage the collection on your giveaway with email collecting by tagging them. Choose a random winner.
- Or use a third party app like Sweepwidget* to collect and have them follow you. You can even do daily entries for more engagement items, I have been using it and find it very helpful in growing my following. (*affiliate)
